Rachel Bobbitt is a dynamic singer/songwriter and performer originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, now based in Toronto. A passionate vocal teacher, Rachel’s musical journey began at the age of 7 when she started taking vocal lessons, immediately connecting with the power of the voice and its ability to bring people together. Growing up, she was deeply involved in choirs, which helped shape her understanding of harmony and vocal technique. Rachel later attended Humber College in Toronto, where she pursued Vocal Jazz, honing her craft while learning about vocal pedagogy—a key influence on her teaching approach.
With a versatile background in classical, musical theatre, jazz, and pop, Rachel is also an accomplished guitarist and pianist, offering a well-rounded musical perspective to her students.
Her music has gained significant recognition, receiving airplay on CBC Radio and being covered by prominent outlets like NPR, Stereogum, and the CBC. This exposure has solidified her presence in the Canadian music scene and beyond. Rachel has toured extensively, performing alongside renowned artists such as Men I Trust, Matt Corby, Indigo De Souza, Blonde Redhead, Will Butler, Luca Fogale, Mat Kerekes, and Hannah Georgas. Her work also extends into sync writing for film, television, and commercial use.
As a vocal teacher, Rachel believes that every student is unique, and she tailors her lessons to fit each individual’s needs, abilities, and goals. Drawing from her extensive performance experience and training, she helps students develop their own authentic voice, while fostering a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music.
