Designed for children ages 4–6, our Preschool Music Classes provide a joyful introduction to the world of music through singing, movement, games, creative play, and hands-on musical exploration. In a fun, supportive group environment, children begin developing the foundational skills that prepare them for future music lessons while building a lifelong love of making music.

Each week, students discover the building blocks of music—including rhythm, pitch, tempo, and dynamics—through engaging activities and age-appropriate songs led by an experienced group music teacher. Along the way, they are introduced to a variety of instrument families, including strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and electronic instruments, helping them explore the many ways music can be created and enjoyed.

As children become familiar with basic Western music notation and strengthen their listening skills, they also develop their ability to recognize rhythms and pitches by ear. Creative musical improvisation encourages imagination and self-expression, while group activities foster teamwork, communication, confidence, and social skills in a positive and encouraging environment.

At Annette Street Music, we believe every child learns best when they feel safe, supported, and inspired. Our experienced instructor is First Aid and CPR certified, providing families with added peace of mind while creating a welcoming, nurturing space where children can explore, learn, and grow through music.

These classes are a wonderful first step before beginning private music lessons, giving young musicians the confidence and foundation to continue their musical journey.
